Diabetic neuropathic pain(STZ-induced diabetes mellitus in rats)

Diabetic neuropathy is one of the representative complications of diabetes mellitus.
Because STZ-induced diabetes mellitus model in rats causes diabetic neuropathy, this model can be used to study diabetic neuropathic pain. Evaluation using von Frey filaments is the primary method; nerve conduction studies can also be performed.
