Effective treatments for severe limb ischemia associated with diabetes mellitus remain limited, and the rapid development of new therapies is needed.
Limb ischemia models prepared by unilateral removal of the femoral artery and vein are often used to evaluate pharmacological effects of such these drugs.
Following items are evaluated; skin blood volume, macroscopically observed lesions, histopathological analysis such as measurement number of capillary, gait analysis.
